Driving up and down
We thank God that the drive up and the drive down were smooth and fast (even though I wasn't speeding... except when overtaking), and the children actually slept through the whole drive up, and we didn't need to stop at all. Chiong chiong chiong all the way up! Drive back down saw quite a fair bit of rain, but God kept us safe and sound :)
Time in the hotel
We spent most of time in the hotel sleeping and expressing milk (err, yes, food for the girl is very important! You cannot imagine how hard poor mummy had to work at it, thank God for a long persevering wife). Caleb had always been able to take to hotels quite easily, and it's a pleasant surprise to see that his sister had no problems too (see how happy the children are below).

Food
Food was pretty good (not the breakfast buffet though), and we had the local favourites from Madam Kwan's and Little Penang Kafe, also Jap food from Sakae sushi. Caleb was pretty adventurous this time round, and actually ate fish eggs for the first time! (ok, you guys should know what i mean, I'm not a Jap food fan, can't remember the name :)). Anyway, you can see the photos of it below.
We also ordered a kids meal for Caleb. He was absolutely thrilled when it came in a plane!
Sarah had a "first" too. It's first time we put her in a baby chair! Ok, we took her out shortly after that, her head still goes flip-flop once in a while, so it's still not safe to leave her in there on her own.
Having Fun!
Well, we all had fun on the trip.
For me, sleeping is fun, yes, trust me, after what I've been through in the last few months, sleeping is fun!
As for mummy, she managed to squeeze in her shopping on the very last day! So that's good...a wife satisfied with her shopping is a happy wife :)
As for Caleb, he's at the age now where fun is action. So if he gets to run around and clown around, he's having fun! See him having fun below.
Well, as for Sarah, hmmm, I guess being able to cling on to mummy and stuff things into her month is pretty fun to her now.
Sometimes, she may not have that much fun (especially if we catch her having a good munch at something she shouldn't).
At other times (in fact most of the time), she simply sleeps when we're outside, to such an extent that we actually thought of recording the white noise and playing it at home to get her to sleep :)
Catching up with extended family
Finally, we also managed to catch up, albiet for just a short time, with extended family. Caleb finally got to see his only cousin (Issac), so far, from his daddy side. Contrary to form, he was in pretty shy mood when they met, but Issac is a fun-loving, friendly, bouncy boy and constantly tried to make friends with him.
All in all, objective of the trip was met. This is one of the few trips which I didn't feel that I needed a holiday after the holiday!
