It's a good thing his female friends are all still too young to reject him due to his constant bad hair days. We've even wondered if his school will think we are delinquent parents in letting him go through such bad state :) If you see the photo below, you'd get what I mean!
When it finally reached the above state and even we can't take it anymore, we actually brought him to a nearby neighbourhood hair stylist which advertised that they charged just S$5 for children. Preparing him for it meant we had praised how brave he was recently when cutting hair, and he replying that "Yes, I'm 3 years old already right? Big boy right? Brave boy right?" So we felt pretty confident.
All that went down the drain the moment we set him down on the seat, with a nearby hair dryer blowing loudly and slightly less-then-optimal lighting, and he went into the "No, no, I don't want, I want daddy, I want mummy!" state.
See one of our previous post here for what I mean.
We had no choice but to take him out, and when we "debriefed" him in the car. He whimpered that he wanted "the old auntie who cut his hair last time", aka "auntie in Junior League" , to cut for him. How to reject a boy in that state right, even though he is acting so "atas" i.e. "high-class"?
So we finally brought him to Junior League again after a few days. See the auntie cutting his hair... yup, this is THE auntie!

And here's the result. (I took care to make him pose in the same manner for you to see the before and after).
Let's pray he'll be able to outgrow Junior League soon (again, it is expensive!), and in the mean time, I pray we'll have the heart to keep trying other alternatives. My poor boy.
An Afterpost By Mummy
Currently Junior League charges $18. They increased their price from $16 to $18 at the beginning of this year. The auntie told us after the hair cut that the price will increase to $20 next month! In view of all these, I'm now seriously considering investing in a pair of scissors and a shaver and cut Caleb's hair myself!
