Ma-ma told me that she had asked Caleb about our KL trip and this is what he told her...
Ma-ma: Caleb, how was your KL trip?
Caleb: There were a lot of holes on the road you know...
Ma-ma: Holes on the road? Then how did your Daddy drive?
Caleb: He drive like that (use a lot of hand actions to simulate car on road) then he change lane, then change lane again...He drive for very, very long you know...
Ma-ma:...oh, so what did you do in KL?
Caleb: Sleep.
Ma-ma: Huh?! You go KL to sleep? Why don't you just sleep at home? So was it fun? Would you want to go again?
Caleb: (shakes head)...no...
Ma-ma: Maybe next time if you go again, you bring more friends with you?
Caleb: Ya... I'll bring Kimi, Megan, Clarisse... (all his girlfriends...)
I was pretty amused by his perspective of our holiday. This holiday did give me and Daddy time to rest and spend time with the kids. We really did sleep quite a fair bit coz we didn't really want to go "chiong" shopping malls. (Don't want to come home feeling we need another holiday). And we took leisure walks to just go eat a nice meal and walk around a little before heading back to the hotel to sleep some more! The best part of the trip? It gave me and Daddy more time to just talk to each other after the children went to sleep. Back home, after the children go to bed, Daddy would be busy with his work and me, I'll be doing stuff here and there in the house.
We did feel that Caleb seemed bored at times, especially in the hotel room but he was really very good to us. He didn't really crank up or anything, just jumped round the room, watched some DVDs and played with his toys in the room. Towards the end of the first day in KL he did ask us "Is it time to go home already?".
We asked him why he wanted to go home and he told us that he missed his kitchen set (it's a big set with stove and pots and pans which Godpa bought for his birthday) and his scooter. But he was happy enough whenever we prepared to go out for meals. He had his share of fun zipping around the malls with Daddy and this trip, we were very lax with him and allowed him to eat ice cream and stuff that I tend to restrict back home.
