Over the past two years, me and Daddy have many times scruntinised our baby photos to make the comparison. Ok lah... again, nothing much to scruntinise since Caleb at times looks like the spitting image of Daddy as a child. But we have concluded that Caleb's ears, take after me (coz he has detached earlobes just like me whilst Daddy has attached earlobes... heehee, incidentally a lot of people tell me Caleb got very nice looking ears) and if you really, really, really look close enough, Caleb's eyes are almond shaped like mine. Daddy's eyes are a little bit smaller and slanted looking. And Caleb got long eye lashes like me lah. Daddy got very short eye lashes. And Caleb got dimples that are not very obvious, just like me. And Caleb's lips are well shaped like mine too... Daddy's lips are a bit uneven... haha... now we're going on an ego trip. And Caleb though he seems to have a square face like Daddy, he has a sharper chin than Daddy.
So, the joke between me and Daddy is that Caleb has eyes, ears, mouth, chin and dimples like Mummy but when you put them altogether, they just look like Daddy lah. How weird is that! By the way, we couldn't decide whose nose Caleb has but recently coz of his bout of his running nose, I'm starting to think his nostril holes look quite big so I told Daddy, the nose is his lah. Haha and Daddy after hearing how I describe all his facial features, says he's thankful that his parents raised him up to be a kid with lots of self confidence!
So anyway, I chanced upon this Look-alike-meter which is supposed to use state-of-the-art face recognition technology to determine the resemblance of a child to his parents. I was like wah! I got to try this man! (Ya, partly coz I seem to be the only one who thinks my son does resemble me) So, I took a recent photo of our family and uploaded it and... see the results below!
I laughed when I saw the results, then I told Daddy, ok lah, let's try a younger photo coz I do think that Caleb really looked more like Daddy when he was younger. So to test out my theory, I used the same photo for me and Daddy and uploaded Caleb's photo when he was exactly one years old. Surprise! Surprise! The analysis seems to think that Caleb looked more like me than Daddy!
Actually I think the meter is a bit warped. But I had fun seeing the results of the analysis. Even Daddy who thinks that I'm engaging in this Bo Liao activity was interested to see the results.
Btw, Daddy claims that he will go scan in his baby photo and he guarantees that the meter will show that Caleb resembles him by 50% more! Ha! We shall see about that!
