Sarah found her hands recently. She's quite a fidgety girl and when she gets excited, she tends to wave her arms in the air. Well, about 2 weeks ago I saw her waving her hands in the air and all of a sudden, she froze her right hand in midair and started staring at it intently. And she stared at her hand for quite a long time, all the while keeping it raised and she had this look of bewilderment on her face. It was a really funny sight. And from then on, from time to time, I'll catch her entertaining herself with her hand, staring hard at it. We thought that it was really comical of her to behave this way until I brought her to the pd for her review on Monday. Again her hand caught her attention and she raised it up and stared at it. Her pd saw and said, "Hey she found her hand already? It's a developmental milestone for a 3 month old." I was like...oh really??... and I thought my girl was just being comical. Haha... anyway, we're not complaining coz it keeps her entertained on her own from time to time.
Daddy caught her in action staring at her own hand again just after her bath. See her eyes focussed on her raised right hand.
Oh and while she's at it, she has also moved on to experiment and decided that her hand tastes good. Now, she not only stares at it, she also enjoys finding her mouth and stuffing her hands in. See how persistent she is, it's as though she's found 2 delicious drumsticks and can't wait to devour them.
