Recently Sarah has been increasingly chatty. During the moments when she's wide awake, she likes us talking to her. She would lie on her bouncer for ages and smile and give occasional responses. She was lying on my bed, babbling away yesterday, so I decided to whip out my camera to take a video of her. No smiles captured here coz she started frowning when she saw the camera.
Want to know what she's talking about? Here's my interpretation...
"Mummy, what's that strange thing that you're pointing at me? I don't really like the look of it (Frown...frown...) And by the way Mummy, I think I'm feeling hungry. I would love to just suck on my fingers but they keep disappearing once I put them in my mouth. I want my milk. I want my milk soon!"
And just an observation from me and Daddy, Sarah seems to be a very patient and gentle girl. When she's hungry and wants milk, she roots for quite a while and she'll wave her arms to get attention and her cries literally sounds like she's saying "aiyah, aiyah, aiyah...aiyah, aiyah aiyah..." and sometimes she'll let out a slightly louder "Oi!" (to get our attention... it sounds really funny and me and Daddy always laugh when we hear her cry like that)... but most of the time, she's really not loud. She only gets really loud if she's hit the end of her waiting threshold and she'll turn down her mouth and cry in a very pitiful manner.
It's a refreshing change for me and Daddy coz in the past, when Caleb was her age, the minute he wants milk, there's no warning given. He just escalates to a super loud wail, almost like he's yelling at the top of his lungs and he wouldn't stop until he gets his milk.
