First Public Bus Ride

Today Caleb went on his first public bus ride. We have all been extremely blessed to be driven around by Daddy most of the time. Anyway, for quite a while already, every time Caleb sees a SBS bus on the road, he'll either say "Wah! Big Bus!" or "I want sit on the bus!". We have been promising to bring him 'another' day. Somehow, we've been saying 'another' day to him for months. So this morning, I had an errand to run and Daddy was busy working, so I decided to stop procrastinating and bring him to go sit on the public bus.
I wasn't too adventurous coz I wasn't sure how Caleb would react, so I decided that we'll just go to the nearest mall which is about 5 stops away. Well, Caleb was really pleased when we got on the bus. After I sat him down, he stared intently at his surroundings and at the people in the bus and out of the window. We were silent for a while and then he started making his comments.

"I like sit on the bus" (pause for a while)
(points to the window) "This one my window!"
"Caleb sit in my bus, look out my window!"
(Turns and sees that I had placed one hand on his seat. He pushed my hand away and said)"I don't like Mummy put hand on my seat!"

It was such a short ride that we reached our destination in less than 10min. He must have enjoyed the ride quite a bit coz he told me he wanted to sit on the bus again.

On our way home, we hopped onto a double decker bus. We sat near the stairs and Caleb stared and frowned when he saw this Uncle climb up the stairs. I think he must be wondering where that led to. Maybe next time round, I bring him to the upper deck to satisfy his curiosity.
