Though I was slightly distressed coz I was very tired out by the long duration of the birth process, I recovered very quickly after the birth. After Sophia was born, I was sent to my ward to eat some snacks and rest. I slept at about midnight and woke up at about 2.30am and I felt that I had already regained half of my energy. By late morning of the same day, I felt quite energetic already and was ready to get out of bed to walk around. So, the recovery was very fast for me.
Oh and actually the week before I delivered, ND was doing his QT and God gave him a verse which he shared with me. It's from John 16:21.
"A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world."
When we were in the delivery ward and ND reminded me of this verse, I was telling him it was so apt for me man! (God really knows what lies ahead!) It was literally pain and anguish for me at that time but indeed, I had joy when Sophia came. But I told ND, I won't forget the anguish lah coz this shall be the last one already. I'm declaring factory is CLOSED!
Oh, and btw, Sophia's actually born on the same day as my Mum, so I guess it's a nice birthday present for her. We didn't purposely choose the same day. Just so happen that after we decided to induce, 4 Oct was the earliest date that my doc could be around to do the delivery. The night that I was due to go into hospital, my family were all taking turns to guess what time I would deliver. Of course nobody expected me to take the whole day! And by 8 plus, my parents kept asking my sis why I was taking so long. Sis thinks they must be wondering whether I can meet the deadline of delivering on my mum's birthday!

Footnote From ND:
John 16:21 is actually within the context of the Little Apocalypse (i.e. the last days prophecy) account by John and describes the birth pangs that will happen before the end comes. But it was applicable to us in the sense of the child birth and has encouraged us to press on.
P/S : Let me say this quietly... shhhhh... the factory is closed for now... when the economy gets better, maybe the production can start again.
Last Words From Mummy:
Factory is PERMANENTLY CLOSED!
Sure, factory will reopen again only if ND can handle the morning sickness, go through the labour pains and delivery and lactate.
