While she was eating her lunch today, she kept telling me,"Mummy, I want go out! I want go outside." And then after a while, she started saying, "Mummy, I want go playground. Play slide." And again, after a while, she went," Mummy, I want go swimming." Well, you get the idea... She sounded really desperate to get out of the house. Well, I do try to keep her occupied at home and she does look forward to playing with Caleb when he comes home from school, but I guess after 2 weeks, what she needs is some sunshine and fresh air and open space to run around.
Last Sat, Kimi's parents arranged to pick Caleb up so that they could bring him on a playdate with Kimi to go to Kid's Explorer at Downtown East for an hour. When Sarah realised that her korkor was going out, she got really frantic and started insisting that she wanted to change her clothes when she saw him changing. And then she ran to wear her shoes and kept saying,"I want go too!" I felt so sorry for her when I saw how her face crumbled with disappointment when she saw Caleb leaving without her. We had to spend some time consoling her and telling her that she'll get to go out some other day instead.
Thankfully, tonight Caleb has yet another wedding rehearsal to attend for his pageboy stint so ND said he'll bring Sarah along so that she gets to go out for a while. She was really so anxious about going out that during dinner time, she looked like she was having a panic attack when she saw ND all dressed and walking towards the door. We had to give her a lot of assurances that ND was not going to leave without her.
Finally a chance to get out of the house!
As for me, ya, I wished ND could bring me out too! I'm starting to feel the effects of being cooped up at home too! 12 more days to the end of confinement!
