Parents Waiting

Say the gynae today, realised that boy boy is nowhere near coming yet. Though overdue already, gynae estimates if left alone, boy boy might take another week to come. But he is worried that once the 41st week comes, the placenta (the organ that holds the baby) might start to slow down on its function and the water level might decrease etc, basically complications can occur once the baby becomes overdue.
So we're seeing him again this coming Sat and should little Caleb still show no closer to coming out, he'll start to induce, but that will only be about 70% successful. If nothing happens by Sunday, then he'll try inducing again. After which, other methods of delivery might have to be considered, i.e. Caesaren Section. And all this while, we must continue to monitor that boy boy is still moving as usual, still actuve as usual, still practising his kung fu kicks as usual.
We're praying that God will work a miracle in these two days and cause the contractions to start naturally.... funny how that came out, asking for God's miracle to come out naturally. That's our wish. However, we are sure God has a plan and time for Caleb to come out and whichever. method that God chooses, natural, induction or even C-Section, we're sure He knows what's best, though in our limited understanding we might not comprehend. Phil 4:6-7 "6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Yes, with thanksgiving, even in situations of anxiousness. Even as wife and I are a little worried about the situation, we are at peace and have no doubt we and Caleb are in good hands, His hands. And now even more so, we're thankful that God have given us close friends who are upholding us in prayers. We're thankful that He has given us financially to be able to engage a gynae. We're thankful that my work allows me flexible hours and though I'll have to work after I post this up, I get to accompany wife to gynae and be involved. We're thankful that God has gotten everything ready for the baby to come. We're thankful for the peace that comes from our dependence on Him.
We're thankful.
