Sophia went to Sunday School (toddler class) for the 2nd time today. With her separation-anxiety setting in recently, she has been extremely clingy and simply refuses to let either my wife or myself go. So the plan for today was for me to bring her to Sunday School, stay with her for a while, and try to extricate myself subsequently, if possible.
Here's the conversation we had after a short while in the class....
Daddy: Sophia, if Daddy needs to go to the toilet later on, can I go?
Sophia: Cannot.
Daddy: But if Daddy gets very urgent, I need to go right? I don't have diaper like you, cannot pee here you know.
Sophia: Ok...
Daddy: (thinking... yeah!)
Sophia: ... But I want to go with you.
Daddy: (thinking... aiyah!) But... is Daddy a boy or a girl?
Sophia: Boy.
Daddy: Is Sophia a boy or a girl?
Sophia: Girl.
Daddy: So if Daddy goes to the boy's toilet, can you follow me? Cannot right? And can Daddy go to the girl's toilet? Daddy is a boy or a girl? (haha, gotcha, let's double confirm).
Sophia: Boy.
Daddy: Is Sophia a boy or a girl?
Sophia: (thinks for a short while...) Sophia is Le En.
Daddy: (wah... win already lor!)
