New is gone, Old is coming, Future is yet to come

Yes, the New Testament exam is over this morning, the Old Testament exam is coming next Tuesday, and the Revelations exam is yet to come (next Thursday, after the OT exam). God has sustained me through another week of mind cramping. God has sustained Gen through another week of almost absent husband. This is set to continue for at least another 1.5 wks before things ease up a little and I can spend more time at home writing my research papers.

I was at saturation point in the library yesterday and took a break by reading a Christian journal called The Christian Century. In it was an article written by a mother-to-be who found out her unborn child had a growth defect which results in the baby's skull not being formed. My heart went out to her family as I read how they were coping with the birth and also preparing for the funeral at the same time as the doctors told them the child will survive for at most a few days after birth before infection sets in. I found myself crying in the library. It put things into perspective for me, and I spent the night and this morning reading the bible and praying. (Please pray for them as well. The child is still not due yet, and the next few months are going to be tough on them).

I'm thankful that in spite not putting in more hours of studying last night and this morning, God sustained me through it and helped me remember most of the points I had committed to memory. Even though I had woken up with a sore throat, I did not feel the discomfort during the exam and the symptoms only really showed this afternoon. I thank the Lord again for His sustenance through the exam.

With the OT exam, the Revelations exam and 3 more papers to go, I will need more of God's sustenance, and every little prayer is very much welcomed. Please pray also for the familee that they will not fall sick, the virus does not get to them, and that God will give Gen the strength, the joy and wisdom to cope. Thanks!
