After the wonderful time we had in KL 2 weeks ago, last weekend was yet another time of great family reunion and a great reminder of how much we have been lulled into the ways of the world, placing greater emphasis on work, material gains and anti-social entertainment, but have forgotten the ones closest to us, the ones whom we can truly depend on and who will depend on us when things get tough... our families.
Patrick Morley (writer of the book Seven Seasons of the Man in the Mirror) wrote in his book that we often give most of our time to people who don't really appreciate our time and neglect those who truly need our time. How true... so it was great and wonderful to have been able to spend quality time with the extended family in this past month... all thanks to Kelvin and Karen Lim! A new cousin-in-law has been added to the family!
You'll see Caleb with his 3 generations of Papas below... once again, I thank the Lord for the blessing of Caleb, for him to bring joy to his great grandparents and grandparents. Somehow, he has the wonderful knack of knowing when to put on his best 'show' :)
For any of the cousins that might be reading this blog... let our generation spend more time with our elders yah?
P/S : Scruffy is going into the highly regimented organization tomorrow morning, we're praying that he adapts well and will be a light in a place where hope is scarce :) Scruffy, don't worry, I think you'll look good in green, it somehow makes one look slimmer... you should have seen me when I was in there man!
