4 Generations!

It is not everyday that you get to see 4 generations of a family together, and even less often when the family is separated over 4 different countries from 3 continents. What a wonderful blessing it was therefore for our family to meet up, with up to 19 members gathered together (though you'll only be able to see 16 in the photo above)... reminiscence of the old days when there was always a huge family gathered at my Grandpa's place, eating over a huge table, always with lots of jokes and laughter. That too was rekindled in the nightly 'meetings' we had in one of the hotel rooms... uncles and aunties staying up late till 2-3am (they will of course not tell their children :)).

It may not be that easy again for all of us to gather together, but hopefully this blog and possibly emails will make it easier for all of us to communicate and update each other on what's going on... hmmm... perhaps a FamiLEE Blog?

The uncles and aunties (now grand-uncles and grand-aunties) have always been the links of the family, perhaps now the younger ones (like those in my generation) should start thinking about how we can bring the family closer together, despite the fact that we are spread across 10 timezones. (For the cousins who read this blog... leave your email addresses in the message box ok?).

Anyway, it was great to see Great-grandma and Great-grandauntie going strong... it is also Great-grandma's 80th birthday in 3 year's time, perhaps another gathering then? :)
