Morning Exercise

In our attempt to adopt a healthier lifestyle for our family, we brought the kids to East Coast Park on one of the mornings for some exercise. The plan was for me and ND to jog, Caleb to go on his scooter, and the girls to go on their tricycle.

Well, with kids, you can plan all you want but always be prepared for surprises. Before we left, Nic wanted to join us at the park so she brought her scooter and met us there. Nic and Caleb got on their scooters and I was supposed to start jogging beside them. Then I realised that ND was having some difficulty with Sophia. The girl was refusing to get onto her tricycle. ND tried persuading her but "No means NO!" Then Sarah decided that she didn't want to sit on her tricycle as well and soo... in the end, I had Nic and Caleb racing ahead on their scooters. I had to hold Sarah's hand and kinda walk and run after Nic and Caleb. And ND was left with Sophia and the tricycle. So, instead of jogging, me and ND had to settle for "sun tanning" instead.

Sophia pushing her tricycle. We nicknamed her "Sophia Walker Lee" here coz she insisted on walking the entire distance and pushing her tricycle.

When the older kids got tired of their scooters, Nic and Sarah got onto the tricycle and Caleb, being the gentleman, pushed them along instead.

Sophia, on the other hand, wanted to get onto Caleb's scooter. I thought she was one cool babe coz she was doing an excellent job balancing herself on the scooter while I pushed her.

After all that "hard work", we rewarded ourselves with our morning snack - Char Siew Baos!
