Yup, Sarah turns 5 months old today! When I look at her, I can't quite believe that it's been 5 months since her birth. She still seems like the tiny little babe that I carried home from the hospital a few weeks ago.
Well, after 5 months, Caleb's quite settled having her around now. Over the weekend we went to Yeeyee's house and Ma-ma carried Sarah when we were leaving and I joked with Caleb that we'll let meimei go home with Ma-ma and he got really upset. He was so scared that Sarah won't be going home with us that he didn't want Ma-ma to carry her anymore and insisted that he wanted me to carry her instead.
Likewise, Sarah really adores her kor-kor. More often than not, he is the one who makes her chuckle loudly. He'll be playing and jumping around and she'll be watching him and be terribly amused with his antics and start chuckling. Me and Daddy think that when she's able to walk and talk, the two of them will probably have lots of fun playing together.
At 5 months, Sarah's a lot more alert now. Her motor skills are pretty good and she's into grabbing things and stuffing them all into her mouth. She's quite a patient and persistent girl and doesn't get frustrated easily. She'll try and try to reach for the toy that caught her attention before stuffing it into her mouth. I think she's teething coz she's drooling a lot and she only has one objective all the time, and that is to look for more things to stuff into her mouth.
Recently she's also been more vocal and she'll make loud ahs and ehs from time to time. She still loves going out and will brighten up the minute we're out of the house.
Today I sat her on my bed to see if she is ready to sit on her own and I think she probably will soon. She could actually sit without support for a short while. I had to try to get her to keep her head up though coz she tends to want to grab her toes and that causes her to lose her balance.
