At long last... some photos

One of the reasons to the Lee family's disapperance for the last 3 months was coz we were away in the US. We were away for almost a month visiting California and Seattle. For me and Daddy, it's the longest holiday we've ever taken and after a while, we both agreed that it's a little too long for our liking. Never ever imagined that we'll feel this way, but yes, we actually got kinda homesick after a while and we wanted to come home! Before we left, I was actually joking with Daddy about whether I'll feel homesick since I've never been away for so long. And he actually said, "No lah, me and Caleb will be with you. Why would you feel homesick??" Ha! But little did we expect that not only did I feel homesick, Daddy felt it too! And I think Caleb did as well coz from time to time, he'll ask where Grandpa, Grandma, Nicole jiejie was.
Well, we did over estimate Caleb though. He has always been an excellent traveller (within Asia) so we thought he'll take 1 0r 2 days to get over jet lag (like us adults). Ha! We were dead wrong. Our boy took 10 days to get over jet lag! Ya, so for the 1st 10 days, Caleb would wake up at 3am, 4am, 5am and demand that we play with him or feed him. And he went on a food strike for 10 days. Some days he skipped dinner. Other days, he survived on a few strands of fries. He just refused to eat anything else. We tried American food, Mexican food, Chinese food. Nothing pleased the boy. And obviously he was cranky and unagreeable and its hardly surprising that he eventually fell sick after a week.
He surprised us again when we met up with Godma Mag and Uncle Will in SFO. They were extremely hospitable and had flown down to SFO to host us. I think Caleb, being the social butterfly, felt really bored being stuck with just me and Daddy for so many days. When he met Godma Mag and Uncle Will, he immediately warmed up to them and abandoned me and Daddy. And he started eating well again! We concluded that he was in serious need of more company.

Anyhow, here's some photos of our first few days in California. There's more to come. We estimated we took about 3000 photos (now you know why we procrastinated from blogging for so long!). If you think about it in terms of rolls of film, it would mean that we used about 83 rolls of film. Sounds a bit mad when you think about it. Well, thank God for digital cameras!
