Apologies to all who have been eagerly waiting for updates... the daddy has been away on reservist and overseas conference, so didn't have time to take photos for little Caleb and post them up. So finally here's some update about the FamiLee and especially that of Caleb Lee & his photos (daddy & mummy have since lost our identities and are often proxies of little Caleb... 'hey! where's the little one?' 'where's Caleb?' 'how's your son?' :)
So just a quick note first on dad and mum before the interest on us wanes :)
Daddy is feeling fine and has just passed his IPPT, so fitness is not that bad. Been getting more sleep recently, since mummy is taking the night feeds by herself pretty well, with Caleb sleeping for greater intervals at night.
Mummy has been doing well and slowly but surely getting back into shape. She's feeling much stronger now and is thinking of getting some light exercises under her belt. (Perhaps getting into shape for the next one? hehe...) She's also been going out with little Caleb and getting used to wheeling him around, slinging him and feeding him in public.
So as you can see, we're slowly settling down into our roles as parents and getting our 'normal' lives back.
Now, news of Caleb, no doubt the main thing that most of you have been waiting for. Well, he's much heavier now, probably weighing in with about 5+ kg. He's also 61cm long (from the 49cm since birth) and is slowly out growing the changing table. He's also slowly settling down into his role as the apple of our eyes and as such knows how to demand to be carried, demand to be fed, demand to be walked around to sleep... it's quite funny sometimes seeing how his face changes as he decides he wants to be fed or carried around, that slow progression from a smile to pouty lips to inverted crescent-mooned lips to warning squeaks to all out wails. It must frustrate him sometimes when he is crying and his parents are laughing at his facial expressions.
Caleb is also feeding more and sleeping longer at nights now. The few times we fed him with the bottle, he gobbled up 140ml of milk in less than 15mins. (Growth charts show that for his weight, he should actually be drinking abt 90-100ml). He also only wakes up once in the middle of the night now, around 3.30am to 4am, after usually having a super long feed at around 9.30pm. There was once when mummy jumped out of bed at around 6am thinking something must have happened to him since he didn't cry for milk in the middle of the night.
So, all thanks and praise to God who has provided such a wonderful bundle of joy and has been with us all this while. Pray that we'll continue to be the parents He wants us to be and that we'll bring up little Caleb to be the Caleb that He wants him to be.
